Agent Profile: Icarus
Arthur D'ehcan was born in Ul'dah and regrettably left on the streets by his mother and father, due to unfortunate circumstances. He never blamed them, reconnecting with them later in his life. However, his rough upbringing led to him developing an unyielding urge to do good and to become a hero. He has dedicated his whole life to helping others after witnessing the poor lives of those he grew up with on the streets of Ul'dah. He did most of his work as the vigilante known as 'The Nightingale', fighting crime on the streets and protecting others while also offering criminals a chance at reformation. He has since hung up the mask to act with the authority of the Alliance.He has been trained in the Garlean style of gunblade combat, as well as the ways of the Monks of Ala Mhigo. He has mixed other Eastern martial arts into his style to allow him to combat people as effectively as possible without ending their lives.His desire to never kill was born from his time in the Immortal Flames as an infiltration specialist. He and his squad were meant to break into enemy encampments to rescue VIPs. An ambush led to his squad being all but wiped out, and Arthur was forced to end the lives of several Garlean soldiers. This event broke his spirit, even if only temporarily, and he left the military to become a healer.He has since recovered, but still holds fast to his 'no killing' rule. He will fight as hard as he can to protect others, but he won't be responsible for ending a life.
Agent Icarus, real identity Arthur D'ehcan, operates as a spy and operative for Alliance Intelligence. He has operated in Bozja, Dalmasca, and other nations of the Far East to assist against the Garlean Empire during the war. He has assisted on numerous espionage and intelligence operations to assist various rebellions shake off the shackles of the Empire.Authority as an Alliance Agent allows him to function within the city states and aid on law enforcement matters. While his refusal to end a life has caused some upset amongst his fellow agents, his arrest record is remarkable and has given him slight leeway to maintain his morals.With the war ended, Icarus has begun assistance in relocating Garlean refugees as well as monitoring them in case of uprising.

If you work in the spy game, perhaps you've heard of Icarus.Dalmascan Rebel - Arthur is Dalmascan by heritage, though he did not grow up there. He assisted in the Bozjan and Dalmascan rebellions off the books, and even formed an information network between various rebel groups. Perhaps you've seen him in the fight against the Empire.Martial Instructor - Arthur has recently taken on apprentices in unarmed combat and swordsmanship. If you need to learn to fight, he's your guy.Ul'dahn Urchin - Arthur did a lot in his time in Ul'dah, running wild in the streets as a 'super hero' and doing his best to solve problems, though when he was a kid he really only annoyed people. Maybe you saw or heard of him if you came from there.Beacon of Hope - Arthur's aether, or perhaps dynamis for those that know of it, seems to constantly radiate a hopeful, uplifting feeling. To those sensitive with aether, this is a beacon that could draw them in.
